The document is stating that we should treat the poor with the same love that wehave for God. it teaches the people who are so caught up in themselves to help others as God does. This document also states that if we all come to Christ as one he will return for us. It teaches us not to get caught up in worldy wants but to turn to God. He is the one that we need and should want. For the people who are to interested in their other wants God will wait until they realize that they need him.

God is patient with us. Many times we are too concerned with our worldly concerns that we forget to give Him the attention and love that He deserves. God refuses to give up on us, even when we don't acknowledge Him.
This is my favorite blog entry. It gets to the point and speaks of great ways we can take part in the teachings of POpe Gregory
You put emphasis on the fact that God will reward us if we do what he asks. It was great.
Very good point when you said that God will wait until the people that are caught up in their posessions realize that they need him before he returns.
not much about helping the poor in it but sa good point of saying God will wait for people to relize they need him
Kayla, I can't argue with anything you wrote. The pursuit of God is an interesting perspective making everything else on which we spend our resources pale. But how do you feel about Pope Gregory's statement, "When we attend to the needs of the poor, it is not works of mercy, but giving back to them what is already theirs?" That was the core of the assignment. How does viewing everything that you own that is not absolutely necessities, as really belonging to the poor and not yours at all? It iis a very hard statement. I wanted to know how that hit you.
I like how you said God will reward us for our works. It makes everything seem easier.
This is a very brief statement that tells the point and it lets us know that God will never give up on us and He gives us love and we should repay that in kind.
